Time flies when you are having fun!

These last 5 days at the Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum in Dortmund have been a crazy but fun experience. It is hard to believe that it is already over.

The MPS Dortmund had everything we could have asked for and then some more. We experienced, wind, rain, cold, sunshine, warmth, shops, food, drinks, friends, hugs and of course amazing music!

On Saturday we kicked off the festival with a massive line up. Bands like Rapalje Celtic Folk Music , Saor Patrol , Cultus Ferox , Versengold , Saltatio Mortis , Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen , Letzte Instanz and Knasterbart were all on stage that day. You’ll understand that our team of two photographers were racing from stage to stage having an absolute blast! We didn’t even mind the cold and rain.

Sunday was a lot more quiet and relaxing. Traditional a family day, the bands on stage were also reflecting that feel. We even saw the Heavysaurus!

The Monday was a day off for us festival goers, which was very welcome. It offered a day of relaxing, recovering and reflecting on what had already been a good weekend. And we would be getting 2 more of those days. And we needed the rest for Tuesday!

Tuesday was awesome! Again packed full with great music by Harmony Glen , The Cobblestones , Ye Banished Privateers , Forgotten North , The KingsPipers and of course Waldkauz . It was sunny, it was warm and it was special. The atmosphere created by the die-hard festival goes and the bands was something you don’t encounter often.

The closing day was the first of May, a bank holiday in Germany and it was noticeable. It was very busy with a lot of happy families enjoying the market, the shows, drinks, good food, and the music. Harmony Glen, Ye banished Privateers, Saor Patrol, the Cobblestones and Weltenkrieger – Barden des Lichts ensured that the adults were able to dance and sing along, while the kids had once again to see the Heavysaurus… (and we can confirm that it is also enjoyed by many adults. 😉 )

In the end, it was a really good festival that will be staying in our memories forever. It is sad that this was the last MPS in Dortmund but luckily, there are many more MPS festivals this year and the next to go to!

Good morning!

We are massively enjoying being in Dortmund at the Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum !

Today is a day off for the festival, but the last two days have been amazing! With a small team of photographers we are working hard to cover most of the festival so that we can show you how much fun we are having here!

Tomorrow and Wednesday are two more festival days. From Thursday on we will share an array of shots. Also head over to Instagram to follow our stories of this festival.

Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum in Dortmund

Next weekend we’ll have King’s Day in the Netherlands, where almost the entire country will turn bright orange and there will be celebrations all around. However, King’s Day isn’t traditionally focussed on Folk music, so if that’s what you’re looking, you’ll probably have to travel. Not very far though, as there will be this little thing called Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum in Dortmund , Germany, and of course CeltCast will be there!

Now, due to circumstances, we couldn’t get any livestreamers there, but rest assured, our photographers will definitely give you all a taste of the atmosphere at this huge festival!

If you’re also going to be there, be sure to look up our photographers, they are always in for a hug! And hey, if you’re able to do some live streaming, feel free to stream into our group on Facebook, CeltCast Community , and share that festive feeling with the world!

We are happy to share the pictures

Almost a week after the event we are finally ready to share that what we couldn’t do through the live-stream.
We are happy to share the pictures that were taken at the event.

We will update this Facebook album with more pictures.

The beautiful end of day one

The first day of Elfia™ Haarzuilens 2019 came to an end with a marvellous laser show, projected on Castle De Haar itself.

In our heated and cosy home we wish all who dare to stay over in the kingdom with temperatures around freezing point a warm night. We hope you sleep well after this crazy day filled sunshine, rain, hail and snow. See you all tomorrow for part 2 of this adventure!

P.S.:
We wanted to provide more livestreams than we did, but the connection sadly was too weak. We did do some offline recordings, so stay tuned for some more happy tunes from the festival! 🙂
