A little moment in the spotlight for Kelten zonder Grenzen
On Saturday, when we are not bringing you livestreams from shows and festivals, we will try to give a musician or band a little moment in the spotlight.
Today’s spotlight is focused on
Kelten zonder Grenzen
Full of energy and a love for music this balfolk band has a sound of its own. With two harps, a hurdy-gurdy and drums they take you into another world of dance and smiles.
Kelten zonder Grenzen, will be playing at
this August on the Saturday and the Sunday.
We are going to tell you a little bit more about the musicians
We are starting up a little tradition here on Facebook that we have already been doing for almost a year on Instagram.
We are going to tell you a little bit more about the musicians you hear on our radio station and see in our livestreams.
Today we kick off with
Meet Laurens (or Laury, as we like to call him)! Laury is actually a classical pianist, and started in the band as keyboard player. At some point he just randomly picked up the accordion, because he’s just a bit of a random character like that. Oh and did you know: Laury actually does a PhD in mathematical biology when he’s not gigging!

Online: review: Harmony Glen – Live at Elfia
“I love live albums. They capture that moment when the creative spirit of the musician meets the energy of the crowd. And when that connection is there, a band will feed of the energy to give their very best. It does not always happen, but every time when that connection ìs there it gives me goosebumps. I’ve been to several concerts where that electric energy was there between the band and us, the crowd and I remember them to this day. To catch something like that on a CD is just magic! When I heard that Harmony Glen was releasing a second live CD/DVD, knowing the cool positive energy they bring to the stage, and hearing that it was recorded at Elfia one of the bigger fantasy festivals in Holland, I was really looking forward to this CD. Did it live up to my expectations?
