Tag Archives: The SIDH

Good morning everyone!

After the first already fantastic day at Castlefest , the camping site slowly wakes itself up with the increasing intensity of shower doors clappering over at the sanitary units. As the first rays of sun evaporate the dew on the tents, those privileged to already be here, rise and prepare themselves for today’s program over breakfast, with the festival terrain at full capacity.

On the music-menu of today are the soothing sounds of Irfan , the party that is EMIAN PaganFolk , mystical melodies by The Moon and the Nightspirit , the energy-boost of The SIDH , the beautiful voice of Gwendolyn Snowdon and the high-rising Sunfire . And that’s just before dinner! The evening will feature Sowulo , Kaunan , The Dolmen , Fiona (of FAUN ), Coppelius , Prima Nocta , Eivør and exclusively for these same people currently waking up: ThunderCrow as the closing act on the Meadow stage.

So come on over and join the party or follow us closey and enjoy those snippets of the festival that we will be able to bring to you!

Good Morning 2

Monthly Marker August 2018: The SIDH

Cover: The SIDH-Another Way To Fly

Tomorrow is the first of the month again, so it’s time to switch the Monthly Marker! And well, “switch it up” we did! 😀

Though maybe not completely fitting within the CeltCast formula you have come to know over the past years, The SIDH created such a party atmosphere at Keltfest, and we are very, very certain they will do the same at Castlefest 2018 – Official (FB), that we really wanted to use their music as our Castlefest-linked Marker.

The song we chose to play throughout August is Khan, taken from their latest album ‘Another Way to Fly’, a high-energy, high-folk content dance-floor pounder which will most definitely get everyone’s blood pumping, whether that be while listening to it on CeltCast or experiencing the whole show at the Village Stage on Friday, the Meadow Stage on Saturday or the Forrest Stage on Sunday! Come join us and let’s dance and lose our minds together to the sounds of this hypnotising track!

The SIDH

This band, surely deserves a place in the spotlight

This band, surely one of the discoveries of 2018 deserves a place in the spotlight. As the CeltCast team, we were all very impressed when we saw and heard them for the first time live at Keltfest this year. The SIDH , a young and innovative band from Italy, makes a type of music rarely heard at the festivals in Holland. It is a combination of contemporary and electronic Celtic music, made with whistles and bagpipes, keyboards and percussion, Hip Hop and Dubstep beats. It feels like you are taking a trip into the Folk music of the 22nd century.

And we can safely say that we want to hear much, much more of this music at the festivals.

At Keltfest, The SIDH, created a party like no other and naturally, we cannot wait until they will hit the stage three times at Castlefest ! On Friday, Saturday (camping only) and Sunday the party will be at the Fested Castle!
