It’s December which means a brand new Monthly Marker for this month!

Song: The Irish Rover

Many of the songs we play lament the stories of times long gone, and of the heroes of yore. Sadly, this week, another legend passed on to this realm, and will henceforth be part of the folklore. This is why for the full month of December, we will salute Shane MacGowan with ‘The Irish Rover’ as our monthly marker.

The version we will play 5 to 6 times a day, is a testament to the levels The Pogues had achieved in the Folk scene, underpinned by their collaboration with The Dubliners. We give tribute to all that these heroes have given us, and the energy they will spread for undoubtedly centuries to come.
