HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALDKAUZ!!!

Last weekend while a few of us were attentending Fantasy Fest RijswijkWaldkauz celebrated their 5th anniversary!
They threw a big party with SeeD Pagan Folk and Brisinga . Those who were there informed us that it was an amazing evening and the bands were in fine shape! Which made us, very jealous and sad that we weren’t able to make the journey.
Still, we wish Waldkauz a very happy birthday, we are sure you celebrated in style! And we wish you many more amazing music filled years!

With love,
The CeltCast Crew

Festval-Mediaval is over..

We have met so many beautiful people there and were so warmly welcomed by the organisation that it was hard to say goodbye. While taking the 10-hour trip back home we realised that we are already looking forward to taking the long road back next year. We honestly cannot wait to be back there in Selb!

For now we are left with beautiful memories, a lot of video’s of our livestreams and pictures.
You can watch the livestreams back here . The pictures will take a while to sort through and share with you all. Keep an eye on our page and on that of Marielle’s Concert and Event Photography , they will be shared there.

However, on Sunday there were three amazing shows of which, through various reasons, we couldn’t do a livestream off. As the shows of Garmarna , Fiddler’s Green and Schandmaul were really special we wanted to share with you all some pictures.

We cannot skip the beautiful memories of Sunfire

When remembering Castlefest 2018 , we cannot skip the beautiful memories of Sunfire We already knew before the festival started that they would be epic but their Saturday show on the Meadow stage blew epic to the moon and back. Those of our team present remember with awe.

Cliff: this was their most awesome show ever!

Marielle: Man, that was one hell of a solid show! The best I have seen!

Sunfire will be playing at Middeleeuws Winschoten & Fantasy Festival 2018 this weekend!

Coppelius with their brilliant show of theatre, rock and folk

It’s been 2 years since Coppelius graced us with their brilliant show of theatre, rock and folk at Castlefest .
In 2016, when the organizers of Castlefest rightfully thought it would be awesome to have an extra evening of this blissful festival, they made it happen by having Coppelius as one of the opening acts. It’s save to say, it was a brilliant idea! Both that extra evening of Castlefest and having Coppelius on stage!

Now this crazy band with their own on-stage Butler will be returning to do another openings show at Castlefest and to top the awesomeness off completely one more show on the Friday evening! So, we get to see this incredible band twice!

The music made by the six men

From our neighbouring country to the South, the country of good beers, Belgische patatten, chocolate and good friends, comes Prima Nocta !

To describe the music made by these wonderful six musicians we would need to write a book about celtic myths, long forgotten lands and thick green forests, about drums, bagpipes, flutes and bouzoukis, and still you would not understand the energy, the power and the appeal this band has.

The music made by the six men, Pros , Edwin , Stéphan , Cédrik , Rony and Bert , needs to be experienced. You need to feel it, you need to see it and you need to live it before you understand that what makes Prima Nocta so awesome.

The announcement that these friends would be back in Holland for Castlefest for three shows was met at CeltCast with happy smiles and cheers. And we are pretty sure many Castlefest visitors were thinking the same!

So for those who do not know Prima Nocta yet, our haven’t had the chance to see them live, go go go go go, to Castlefest, they are playing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
