News about our CeltCast Fantasy Awards 19/20 Badges!

Last October, after five years of being on-air and supporting as many bands and festivals as we could, CeltCast (Community Radio) became a foundation. We could never have guessed that this dream would come true!
To celebrate this with you we set out to throw a party! A party because of the 5th birthday of CeltCast ánd because we have become a foundation. Around that time the opportunity arose to continue the Fantasy Awards through CeltCast. We are very grateful for the hard work our friends of Bastaard have done for the previous four editions. <3 This winter, the CeltCast team worked hard to make this first CeltCast Fantasy Awards edition a success. At this moment, we can count the nights to the show in the P60 ! We are very excited!
Now, we have a question for all who support the work we do...
For a long time, our Rosanne CeltCast has been designing beautiful badges for various festivals that we faithfully visit with our CeltCast team. Everyone knows: "a hug for a badge". But this time, for our specially designed Fantasy Awards badges, we ask a small donation to help the CeltCast foundation grow! There is a small base price of 50 cents, but extra donations are always welcome!
The designer of all our badges can provide information about this at our merch stand at the Fantasy Awards. And, if you want to make your collection complete… “for the first time in forever” you have the chance to collect older badges too!
For the past five years, we have volunteered to distribute folk music and of course we will continue to do so, but because of the voluntary aspect, it’s not always easy.
So… buy a ticket for the Fantasy Awards and celebrate “the music” with us and all the amazing musicians!

After setting up the official foundation and our fifth anniversary we have some more big news to share with you. Very big news, we dare say! After having organised the
Fantasy Awards 19/20
for the past four years our friends of
Bastaard
have decided to pass the torch, so to speak, and we are extremely honoured that CeltCast was their choice on who they thought could carry the flame best. And so it is with immense pleasure and pride that we announce that next March CeltCast will organise and host the fifth edition of these Fantasy Awards!
Now, you are probably all very interested in the details. When and where will the event be hosted? Which categories will we be able to vote on? Who will provide the entertainment? Well, all we can say for now is keep an eye on our Facebook page, the event page, and of course check out our new website, designed specifically for Fantasy Awards 19/20 at https://www.fantasy-awards.com

The fantasy festival scene emerged last night

After a long cold winter-break, the fantasy festival scene emerged last night to attend
the Fantasy Awards 18/19
at
Qbus Club Leiden
.
This party, organised by Bastaard , was the first time in almost three months we got together again, this time to celebrate a scene that is build on love, friendship, hugs, mead, campfires, laughter and really good music.
Last night, this music was provided by twibv , Datura medieval music , Aelixihr , Four of a Kind , Plunder and The Royal Spuds and ensured that we all got that beautiful “coming home” feeling in our hearts.
Most important focus of this evening was of course the Award ceremony. And the winners for 2018 are:
Best Festival: Castlefest
Best Live Act NL/BE: Rapalje Celtic Folk Music
Best Live Act Internationaal: The Dolmen
Best Album: Wytches & Cunningfolk by The Dolmen
Best Entertainment: House of Wax Entertainment
Best Stand: Magic Within
Best Foto: Anouk Pross Photography
Best Kostuum: Keyleth (critical role)
Congratulations from the whole CeltCast team! It is really well earned!
Of course we were present not only to enjoy the evening but also to take some pictures and do livestreams!

On the first of March, our friends of Bastaard are organising the
Fantasy Awards 18/19
again.
These awards are a very cool way of honouring our scene, with awards for best album, live act, festival, photo, cosplay, etc.
And most importantly it always is combined with an evening of good music and even better company.
As a little homage to our Bastaard friends, the scene and this award show, our Rosanne has updated our logo with a little Bastaard look and feel.
So, when ever you see our updated logo, you will be reminded that you are very welcome to join us on the 1st of March at the Qbus Club Leiden to party with Datura medieval music , Plunder , twibv , Four of a Kind , Aelixihr and The Royal Spuds .
