Monthly Markers October 2026: WÖR+kongero/Siskin Green

It’s the 1st of October, which means it’s time to introduce two brand-new Monthly Markers! 🎶✨
This month, we’re traveling from Belgium & Sweden all the way to Scotland, with two beautiful songs, and both deserve a spot on your playlist. ❤️

Band no. 1: WÖR + kongero (BE/SE)
Song: Edele Wijn, Skalen Tillhor Dig Min Van

Album Songbooks brings Belgian and Swedish folk traditions together in one vibrant collaboration. Belgian instrumentalists WÖR meet Swedish folk’appella group Kongero, bringing together voices, instruments, stories, tunes, and original music in a show that is lively, soulful, beautiful, and wonderfully groovy. A magical meeting of voices and instruments, where every song and every musician gets a chance to shine. ✨

Band no. 2: Siskin Green (GB-SCT)
Song: Oh The Life Of The World

Cover: Siskin Green - Living in the Echo

‘What if kindness is one of the most radical things we have left?’
Siskin Green’s Living in the Echo combines exquisite harmonies, thoughtful songwriting, and stories of justice, memory, faith, feminism, and hope. Rooted in folk tradition but firmly speaking to the present, the trio’s second album is music that invites us to listen, reflect, and feel held. 💚

📻 So what happens next?
We’ll be playing both songs 4–5 times a day for the entire month on CeltCast Radio! And, of course, they’ll also be featured in our special CeltCast Monthly Markers Spotify playlist. Hopefully, you’ll fall in love with these beautiful songs just as much as our team has! ❤️

🏆 And there’s one more thing…
Just like every Monthly Marker, these songs will have a chance to win a CeltCast Fantasy Award during our February show (20/21 February 2027) for “Best Monthly Marker”!

Two songs. Two traditions. One month of beautiful music.
Let the October Monthly Markers begin! 🍂🎶

Musical Greetings,
