This beautiful 8-track collection moves effortlessly from intimate moments to rich full-band arrangements, featuring songs in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Catalan, and English. Inspired by traditional folk while also addressing themes that resonate today. Every track was recorded live with the full band, capturing the warmth, spontaneity, and energy of their performances.

Featured on the album Windblown, released on 5 June 2026. Multi-award-winning musician, writer, and storyteller Karine Polwart joins forces with sound designer and composer Pippa Murphy, with Dave Milligan on piano, to create a deeply moving collection.

The album is a farewell to a cherished Sabal palm at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, written on the eve of its felling after nearly two centuries of care. It’s a heartfelt reflection on endings, remembrance, and how we might better care for each other and our beautiful, broken world. The album is accompanied by a richly illustrated book featuring Karine’s theatre script and stunning artwork from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh archives.
