A month ago during
Rapalje
‘s
Zomerfolk festival
we were introduced to the band
Fling
.
Fling played a brilliant energetic set of Irish folk that had a lot of people dancing.
Especially during the set in on the pub stage they got the crowed going.
We were happily surprised by this band. Their energy and joy in music was infectious.

we will be sharing quite a few live streams through out both on Saturday and Sunday of the bands playing there.
Also we will be sharing pictures from the shows there in the days following the festival.
With bands like PerKelt , Pyrolysis , Idisi and artists like Gwendolyn Snowdon and HarPetra it will be a great party with beautiful music. Not to mention that The Royal Spuds will be celebrating their 5th anniversary there!

As announced CeltCast is going to be at
Castlefest
!
We are really looking forward to it!!! So many good music, Album releases, friends and beautiful people!
We even have selected the monthly marker based on Castlefest.
In the coming month we will spend some time building up to this beautiful festival in our Community. For many, an all time favorite, Rapalje is also coming to Castlefest. To get you all in the mood for Castlefest already we are share a few pictures from Zomerfolk of the Sunday afternoon gig.

The Tannahill Weavers at Zomerfolk- Photo Album

Now that July has started we are well into the summer festival season. We have many festivals looking forward too but we are also still remembering the fantastic music we already have experienced.
One of these special moments was when the Tannahill Weavers took over the stage at Zomerfolk last week in Groningen.
This band will have its 50th anniversary next year!!! So you will understand that it was very special to have them on stage performing tunes and songs that we all know and love when they are being covered by other bands. Including giving you all the livestream to enjoy!!
With these pictures we are hoping to ensure that this memory will never be lost.
